Review: Benefit - Finding Mr Bright

Hi dolls, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend & enjoyed the sun!!

Here we have a product I received for my birthday back in April, I can't believe I haven't got around to reviewing it yet!

Benefit - Finding Mr Bright

What Benefit have to say:

"Ladies, this brightening kit is quite a catch! Finding mr. bright is filled with all of the essentials for a luminous complexion. Complete with a step-by-step brightening lesson...this kit's the total package!"

The kit includes:

Girl meets pearl - liquid pearl for face - 7.5 mL
Posietint - poppy-pink tinted lip & cheek stain - 4.0 mL
High beam - luminescent complexion enhancer - 2.5 mL
Erase paste no. 2 - medium brightening camouflage for eyes & face - 3.2 g

Girls Meets Pearl

I'd never heard of this product before owning this kit but I'm glad I know about it now! I like to mix it with my liquid foundation or lightly pat it on my face after applying make up and it leaves me looking dewy with a subtle shimmer, perfect for summer!

Pose Tint

I actually own a dupe of this product as I wasn't willing to part with the £24.50 price tag for the full size and I'm glad I didn't. Don't get me wrong, it's 'ok' and I will continue to use it on my lips but it does nothing for my cheeks. If I hadn't tried the dupe I probably would have liked this alot more but this certainly wasn't my favourite product in the kit.

Erase Paste

This is my FAVOURITE product from the kit hands down! It's a very creamy almost gel like concealer that looks amazing under the eyes. I can apply this to my eyes in the morning after a couple of hours sleep and it leaves me looking awake and bright. I will certainly be purchasing the full size product when I've finished with this pot.

Highbeam

This is probably one of Benefit's most famous products and I can see why. This is such a versatile product and it can be used in a number of places including the cheeks and brow bone to give a lovely glow, this also photographs REALLY well.

I probably wouldn't have purchased this kit myself but I'm glad the girls at work picked it out for my birthday, they know me too well!

What are your favourite benefit kits?

Review: Boots No.17 Hide Away Concealer

Hello my gorgeous geeks, I hope you're all having a fab Friday!

I was browsing in Boots earlier this month & I noticed they had 3 for 2 on all cosmetics, like I need an excuse?

I'm constantly on a mission to find the perfect concealer so thought I'd give this a go...

Boots No.17 Hide Away Concealer

I was reluctant when I first tried it, I'm not usually a fan of concealers with a sponge applicator, I find them unhygienic! I get around this problem by swatching the product onto a clean hand & applying it from there.

The packaging itself is quite sleek looking, not as cheap as the £3.99 price tag would suggest!

I chose the shade 'medium' however it comes in light, medium & dark. Medium was a perfect match for my skin tone.

Before & After Blending

The product is surprisingly creamy and it covers well! I use it under the eye area, it makes me appear awake & hides any imperfections. If you're looking for a fuller coverage concealer for scarring/spots then I wouldn't recommend this. It lasts for around 6 hours, so although it isn't all day it lasts quite a while for the price!

Would I buy it again? Probably not. I want to try lots more, and although I did like it & use it regularly I'm not sure I like it enough to repurchase.

Available in most Boots stores, priced at £3.99.
