Hot Cloth Cleansers - No.7 vs Liz Earle

Hi dolls

Hot cloth cleansers are possibly my favourite skin care product discovery this year. These are the two that I've tried so far & I thought I'd share my opinions on them.

No.7 Radiance Boosting Hot Cloth Cleanser & Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser.

No.7 Radiance Boosting Hot Cloth Cleanser:

This is my new every day skincare product.

I use it every evening to remove my make up & to cleanse my face and I love it.

At a HUGE 200ml it's double the size of the Cleanse & Polish so I don't mind using it everyday because you get so much more product. I use 1 or 2 pumps depending on how much make up I'm wearing and this is plenty, I've had this for nearly 3 weeks now and as you can see from the top picture I've hardly used any! I must admit it smells alot more artificial than the Cleanse & Polish which I'm not a fan of, thumbs down No.7!

I bought this the last time the No.7 vouchers were doing the rounds which meant I only paid £4.00 for this, LOVE! It normally costs £9.00 which I still think is very reasonable considering how much product you get but I think I'll wait until the vouchers are knocking around again & stock up!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish:

This was the first hot cloth cleanser & infact Liz Earle product I tried and it was love at first sight (or use!)

No other product has ever made my skin feel as fresh & clean as this product. I used to use this every morning & evening but now I've discovered the No.7 version I use this every couple of days as a treat.

I hope you can see from the picture that this product is alot thicker than the No.7 version which I find makes me use much less, one pump goes a long way! Cleanse and Polish smells ALOT nicer than the No.7 product, it smells 'natural' if that makes sense?!

For £13.00 you get 100ml of product & 2 muslin cloths which I do think is very good value and there isn't that much difference if you are paying full price for the No.7 product, this is why I will only buy the No.7 product when using the vouchers.

Overall I would have to say I prefer the Liz Earle version but I would certainly recommend the No.7 cleanser for a cheaper alternative, especially when using a voucher!

One thing I would recommend is even if you are going to choose the No.7 version I would pick up some Liz Earle muslin cloths. They are a million times better quality than the one No.7 ones and I think they really make a difference.

Have you tried any hot cloth cleansers, if so what are your favourites?

Scented Polishes - Revlon v Rimmel

Ahoy blogerinos!

I wasn't sure what to make of scented nail polishes when I first heard of them, my initial thought was 'what is the point... I bet it's just a silly gimmick' but I fell in love with these shades & the fact that they were scented was just an added bonus.

I didn't actually realise how similar these polishes were until l'd already purchased the Rimmel one, oops!!

Revlon:

Revlon recently released a limited edition collection of 8 scented polishes. I opted for Tropical Temptation after I had read various blog posts about it.

I bought this polish as part of a promotion, the price of Revlon polishes has always put me off in the past. I have to say I'm really not impressed with Revlon polishes, the application was awful! It was streaky, not opaque at all took and took ages to dry. I like the colour but I don't think there is much difference between this and the Rimmel polish.

The scent of the polish is very subtle, I find you actually have to smell your nails to notice it, I think I'd get some funny looks if I did this too regularly!

This was Tropical Temptation after 2 coats & no top coat. The polish lasted 4 days without chipping which did impress me considering I didn't use a top coat.

Revlon Tropical Temptation - 14ml - £6.49.

Rimmel:

Rimmel currently has a collection of 4 scented nail polishes - Lemon Drop, Strawberry Fizz, Apricot Punch & Cranberry Zest, cute names!

I opted for Apricot Punch, I thought the shade was perfect for summer - without realising how similar it was to Tropical Temptation - oops!

The scent of this polish is alot stronger than the Revlon polish, I can actually smell it without smelling my nails but it's not overpowering at all.

This was Apricot Punch after 2 coats & no top coat. As you can see it's ever so slightly pinker than the Revlon polish, only just!! I love the colour and it lasted 3 days without chipping. I also love the brush & it applied really well, much better than the Revlon polish.

Rimmel Apricot punch - 8ml - £2.99

Overall I have to say I much prefer the Rimmel polish. It applied better, It smells better & It costs less than half the price of the Revlon polish. The size of the Revlon polish may be larger but I rarely finish a bottle of nail polish anyway!

Have you tried scented nail polishes, if so what did you think of them?

Review: Benefit - Finding Mr Bright

Hi dolls, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend & enjoyed the sun!!

Here we have a product I received for my birthday back in April, I can't believe I haven't got around to reviewing it yet!

Benefit - Finding Mr Bright

What Benefit have to say:

"Ladies, this brightening kit is quite a catch! Finding mr. bright is filled with all of the essentials for a luminous complexion. Complete with a step-by-step brightening lesson...this kit's the total package!"

The kit includes:

Girl meets pearl - liquid pearl for face - 7.5 mL
Posietint - poppy-pink tinted lip & cheek stain - 4.0 mL
High beam - luminescent complexion enhancer - 2.5 mL
Erase paste no. 2 - medium brightening camouflage for eyes & face - 3.2 g

Girls Meets Pearl

I'd never heard of this product before owning this kit but I'm glad I know about it now! I like to mix it with my liquid foundation or lightly pat it on my face after applying make up and it leaves me looking dewy with a subtle shimmer, perfect for summer!

Pose Tint

I actually own a dupe of this product as I wasn't willing to part with the £24.50 price tag for the full size and I'm glad I didn't. Don't get me wrong, it's 'ok' and I will continue to use it on my lips but it does nothing for my cheeks. If I hadn't tried the dupe I probably would have liked this alot more but this certainly wasn't my favourite product in the kit.

Erase Paste

This is my FAVOURITE product from the kit hands down! It's a very creamy almost gel like concealer that looks amazing under the eyes. I can apply this to my eyes in the morning after a couple of hours sleep and it leaves me looking awake and bright. I will certainly be purchasing the full size product when I've finished with this pot.

Highbeam

This is probably one of Benefit's most famous products and I can see why. This is such a versatile product and it can be used in a number of places including the cheeks and brow bone to give a lovely glow, this also photographs REALLY well.

I probably wouldn't have purchased this kit myself but I'm glad the girls at work picked it out for my birthday, they know me too well!

What are your favourite benefit kits?

The press bit...

"Malibu and Nails Inc have collaborated to combine cocktail hour with pre-party pampering - what's not to like? To get your hands on these gorgeous orange, purple and teal shades, you'll just have to buy two Malibu drinks in participating bars, nationwide."

I have my eye on the coral shade.
