Hello lovelies, I hope you're all ok & looking forward to the weekend =]
After posting a recent haul many of you asked for a review of Eylure Dylash, so here it is!
I originally bought the shade 'dark brown' but I didn't think my eyebrows came out dark enough. Dizzybrunette3 recommended purchasing the 'black' kit and mixing the two together, this is what I've done & I'm alot happier with the results.
Here is what you get in the kit...
You get everything you need other than cotton wool & Vaseline (personal preference.)
How to dye your eyebrows:
♥ Carry out a sensitivity test 48 hours before dying your brows, I know this is boring but it really is a must! Mix 1cm of the dye & 3 drops of the solution together and put it behind your ear. If everything is ok & you have no reaction follow the next steps!
♥ Ensure your eyebrows are clean from all product & comb them through with an eyebrow brush.
♥ Prepare the dye by mixing 2cm of dye & 5 drops of solution. If you're mixing two dye's together them use 1cm of each dye.
♥ Mix the solution together with the mixing tool until you get a paste like the picture below.
♥ Apply to the brows using either the applicator provided or a cotton bud.
♥ Leave for 1-2 minutes, it's better to leave it for less time than too long, you can re-do the dye if it doesn't come out dark enough but if they come out too dark you're stuck with it!
♥ Wipe off the dye using either dry cotton wool or cotton wool with vaseline.
♥ You should be left with lovely dark eyebrows! =]
This is how my eyebrows looked after using the dye. If I want a more dramatic look I would finish them off with eyebrow powder & gel to set. The results should last for upto 6 weeks, I re-do mine every 3-4 weeks.
Overall I think this is a really good kit. The price of one kit that can last upto 12 applications costs less than a one off eyebrow tint in a salon. The only downside for me would be having to buy two kits but then they should last twice as long as one!
Eylure Dylash is available at Boots & Superdrug priced at £7.29.
Are you a DIY girl or do you prefer visiting a salon?
