Mini Mac Haul...

Good evening ladies, I hope you all had a fab weekend!

Me & the other half took a rare day off work today & I dragged him to Bluewater to do a spot of Christmas shopping!

No shopping trip is complete without a little visit to Mac, with it being so close to Christmas I couldn't justify buying lots so I just got couple of bits. Here is what I picked up...
Mac blush in 'Desert Rose' & Mac Cremesheen lipstick in 'Creme Cup'
L-R: Mac Desert Rose Blush & Mac Creme Cup Lipstick
I've had my eye on Cremecup for ages, I'm really glad I finally have it in my collection =]

Whilst at Bluewater we decided to try the Cadbury Cocoa House for a spot of lunch, whilst in there I took a few photo's for my lovely blogerinos!
The inside is lovely & cosy and I was amazed by the vase's full of chocolate!

I chose the chocolate fudge cake...
Tony had the scones with jam & clotted cream...
I have to be honest & say that the food wasn't that great.

My caramel latte was cold when I got it & it had to be replaced and the chocolate fudge cake was very dry. Me & Tony both thought it would be alot more chocolate orientated but it was just like any other coffee shop in my opinion. I'm glad I've been but I don't think I would choose to go there again.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I'm nearly finished, yay!

Review: Eylure Dylash - Home Eyebrow Tinting...

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all ok & looking forward to the weekend =]

After posting a recent haul many of you asked for a review of Eylure Dylash, so here it is!
I originally bought the shade 'dark brown' but I didn't think my eyebrows came out dark enough. Dizzybrunette3 recommended purchasing the 'black' kit and mixing the two together, this is what I've done & I'm alot happier with the results.

Here is what you get in the kit...
Eylure Activating Solution
Eylure Dye
Mixing Tool
Application Tool

You get everything you need other than cotton wool & Vaseline (personal preference.)

How to dye your eyebrows:

♥ Carry out a sensitivity test 48 hours before dying your brows, I know this is boring but it really is a must! Mix 1cm of the dye & 3 drops of the solution together and put it behind your ear. If everything is ok & you have no reaction follow the next steps!

♥ Ensure your eyebrows are clean from all product & comb them through with an eyebrow brush.

♥ Prepare the dye by mixing 2cm of dye & 5 drops of solution. If you're mixing two dye's together them use 1cm of each dye.

♥ Mix the solution together with the mixing tool until you get a paste like the picture below.
Apply to the brows using either the applicator provided or a cotton bud.
My eyebrows before

♥ Leave for 1-2 minutes, it's better to leave it for less time than too long, you can re-do the dye if it doesn't come out dark enough but if they come out too dark you're stuck with it!
During application

♥ Wipe off the dye using either dry cotton wool or cotton wool with vaseline.
My eyebrows after

♥ You should be left with lovely dark eyebrows! =]

This is how my eyebrows looked after using the dye. If I want a more dramatic look I would finish them off with eyebrow powder & gel to set. The results should last for upto 6 weeks, I re-do mine every 3-4 weeks.

Overall I think this is a really good kit. The price of one kit that can last upto 12 applications costs less than a one off eyebrow tint in a salon. The only downside for me would be having to buy two kits but then they should last twice as long as one!

Eylure Dylash is available at Boots & Superdrug priced at £7.29.

Are you a DIY girl or do you prefer visiting a salon?

My Winter Essentials...

Ahoy bloggerinos, I hope you're all well =]

With the dark nights drawing in & Christmas fast approaching I thought I'd show you some of my essential winter products. I use most of these products year round but find them most effective in the winter, my skin seems to feel alot drier in the winter and don't even get me started on chapped lips!

Haircare:

v05 Miracle Concentrate - I use this both as aa serum & leave in conditioner and it leaves my hair feeling unbelievable soft & healthy looking. Full review coming this week so keep your eyes peeled!

Aussie Take The Heat - A beauty blogger cult classic and for a very good reason. My favourite deep conditioner ever, nothing else leaves my hair feeling and looking so healthy & nourished. A must have!

Moisturisers:

Jergens Naturals Ultra Hydrating Lotion - This is my favourite everyday moisturising lotion. It absorbs quickly enough to be used in the morning when I'm in a rush but still leaves my skin feeling uber soft.

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter - I've sung this products praises many times before, this has to be hands down my favourite body butter. This can take a little longer to absorb than most lotions but leaves my skin feeling baby soft and it smells amazing!

Lips:

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub: I get very bad chapped lips in the winter and this product sorts them out a treat. It gets rid of all dead skin, a must for me before applying lipstick.

Carmex: I'm sure you all know about Carmex so I won't bang on about it but this has to be my favourite lip balm ever!

Exfoliation:

Radox Shower Smoothie - I love exfoliating and this product makes the job such a treat. This shower gel smells gorgeous and has tiny exfoliating beads that scrub away dead skin. I also love that they have to state 'don't drink me' on the bottle!

St Ives Apricot Scrub - I have used & loved this product for many years, it leaves my face looking really fresh & dewy and feeling super soft.

Face products:

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Oil - I have only recently discovered this product but it has already made a big impact on my skin. I use it a couple of times a week as a deep moisturiser leaving it overnight and it leaves my skin feeling super soft and looking radiant.

Superdrug Vitamin E Day Cream - This is a great everyday moisturiser. It contains SPF 15 which is important even in the winter months and it does a great job at keeping my skin in good condition without breaking the bank.

Face Masks - These are just a couple of the face masks in my collection. Once a week I treat myself to a mini at home facial starting with a face mask, Montagne Jeunesse being one of my favourite brands to use. They help to remove excess oil and draw out impurities, they smell lovely too!

What are your must have winter essentials?

Inexpensive Jewellery Storage Ideas

Good evening ladies =]

I thought I'd show you how I store my earrings & bracelets, both are really inexpensive ways and before I stored them like this I was in a right pickle!

I use an old mug tree to store my bracelets & bangles on.
This was originally stainless steel but I spray painted it black to match the decor in my bedroom!

I use this mesh heart to store my stud earrings, it's super cute!
This is getting slightly too small now so I might have to purchase the bigger size, any excuse to buy a few more pairs of earrings!
I bought this on eBay from this seller for £4.99!

I just need to find something cute to store my necklaces on now!

How do you store your jewellery?

P.S - apologies for the rubbish photo's, flash was needed as I get in from when it's dark =[

These shoe boots were made for walkin'...

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all well!

The minute I spotted these shoe boots in New Look I knew I had to have them.

They're everything I've wanted in a shoe boot for ages. Nice high heel, Not too detailed & just the right length.

I present to you my new favourite pair of shoes...

How gorgeous are they?!

The best thing about them has to be how comfy they are. I kid you not, these are comfier than some flats I own. They don't hurt at all and I can see myself dancing in these for hours! I made my boyfriend laugh when I wore them, I said I walk like a 'normal person' because I normally walk like a muppet in heels!

Available in New Look - £24.99 - Link!

I can't wait to wear them on Friday!

Nails Inc FREEBIE ALERT! Glamour magazine December 2011

Good afternoon ladies, I hope you're all having a great weekend!

I love Nails Inc nail polish & I'm an even bigger fan of freebies so when I found out Glamour magazine were giving away a free nail polish with every December issue I couldn't wait to pick one up!

There are 4 shades to choose from:

(L-R) Basil Street, Piccadilly Circus, Victoria & Tate.

I opted for Piccadilly Circus. I already own Tate & I have far too many nude polishes already. I may go back & get Victoria if there are any left on Monday.

Nails Inc polishes normally retail at a hefty £11 each so this is an amazing deal, you can have all 4 shades for less than the full RRP of one!

The December issue went on sale on Thursday (3/11/2011) so if you want to grab this amazing bargain you'll have to be quick.

What shade will you be choosing?
