Walking In A Winter Wonderland...

Good evening my lovelies, I hope you're all looking forward to Christmas!

I know I've been a really bad blogger lately, I've had an insane week at work & I've been finishing off my Christmas shopping but I'm all finished!

The lovely Jennifer over at Jennifer-Rosellen mentioned these boots on twitter a couple of days ago & I knew I had to have them!

(Sorry for the rubbish quality photo's, the lighting in the evening is shocking!)

How lovely are they?!

They actually feel quite comfortable on but I haven't taken the plunge and worn them outside yet, I'm going for Nando's & drinks with the girls from work tomorrow so I'm saving them for then!

The best bit about these boots have to be the price, they are an amazing £12!! Yep, that's right, TWELVE POUNDS!!!

The last time I checked there were plenty of pairs available in every size & they are available here.

Are you ready for Christmas?

My Christmas Party Nails! Nails Inc & Barry M...

Good evening blogerinos!

In preparation for my work Christmas party tomorrow night I'm having a pamper night, starting with my nails. I'm going for red lips and wanted my nails to match so this is what I went for...

I used Nails Inc 'Tate' & Barry M 'Red Glitter'

I used two coats of Tate & one coat of Red Glitter.

As you can see in the picture above they have come up super sparkly! The picture honestly doesn't catch the beauty of this duo, I am in tacky Christmas love!

I will of course be posting a full OOTN and a post about the Christmas party once I've recovered!

What have you opted to use on your nails this Christmas?

My Top 10 Products Of 2011 ♥

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all well!

As it's nearly the end of 2011 I decided to post about my favourite products from the past 12 months. I've discovered some of these products in the past year & some are long standing favourites.

Here goes! =]

Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle

I've been using this product for many years & I can't imagine not having a bottle or 2 in my bathroom! This is my favourite deep conditioner, nothing else leaves my hair feeling as soft & nourished and it's a bit of a bargain, winner!

St Ives - Apricot Scrub

This is another product I have used for many years. The packaging may be new but the formula is the same great exfoliant I have used and loved since I was about 14! I use this 1-2 times a week to keep my skin looking & feeling fresh.

Soap & Glory - Hand Food

This is one of my favourite discoveries of 2011, this hand cream is amazing! It leaves my hands feeling uber soft and it smells amazing.

Mac - MSF Natural

Please excuse my grubby MSF! I use my Mac MSF Natural to set my foundation everyday, it makes my make up last all day and gives me the extra coverage I need in winter.

Liz Earle - Cleanse & Polish

I started using this in late 2010 and I haven't stopped since! This has to be my 5th or 6th bottle and I can see myself buying this for years to come. I love using this to remove my make up at night, my skin feels so fresh and clean after I've used it & I love the 'natural' scent.

MUA - Heaven & Earth Palette

I'm sure this product will be on many peoples lists so I'm sorry if you have seen this a billion times! This is a great everyday palette that can be used for both day and night looks. This is actually my second palette as I bought one for back up incase they ever stop selling it!

Collection 2000 - Lasting Perfection Concealer

Once again you'll have to excuse the rubbish picture, like so many the writing on my Lasting Perfection concealer has started to rub off. This is without a doubt one of the best concealers I have ever tried. So many bloggers have wrote about this & I'm so glad I finally gave in to trying it. If you haven't already picked one up then I cannot recommend it enough!

Barry M - Nail Paint

I know this is cheating slightly but I couldn't just pick one Barry M nail polish! This is my favourite brand of nail polish hands down. It's cheap, the selection of colours available are amazing and the finish is brilliant. These are just a few of my favourites, my collection is getting out of hand!

Soap & Glory - The Righteous Butter

I know I've blogged about this many times before & I'm really sorry I keep banging on about it but it's amazing! I love applying a thick layer of this after a bath, when I wake up my skin is baby soft & it smells gorgeous! If you have already tried this then I cannot recommend it enough.

VO5 - Miracle Concentrate

I only discovered this product in the latter part of this year & It's already become a firm favourite. My hair is without a doubt in alot better condition now I have started using this & it helps to combat the awful frizzy hair I always seem to get at this time of year.

So there we have it! My favourite products of 2011.

I can't believe it's going to be 2012 in a couple of weeks, the years are going far too fast now I'm all grown up =[

What have been your favourite products this year?

My new Ugg boots!

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all having a fab week.

How cold has it got in the past couple of days?! I've had to get the scarf & gloves out! I hope it snows over Christmas =]

With the weather getting colder I decided it was finally time to invest in some new Ugg boots. I know they're not the most attractive of footwear but there really is no nicer feeling than slipping on your Ugg boots on a cold wintery morning!

I opted for the short black style. I don't think you can go wrong with black boots, they go with everything!

I picked mine up from Kurt Geiger, I had some gift vouchers from work & I used my £20 Elle card so I got pretty good deal.

The only thing that concerned me was choosing the right size. I have always gone for a UK size 5 in the past but gradually they became a little too loose where the fur has flattened. These are labelled as a 4.5 but the lady in Kurt Geiger said they are actually a 4. They say you should wear Ugg boots barefooted, am I the only one who just cannot do this?! They feel ok at the moment & I hope they stretch a tiny bit!

Are you an Ugg fan?

Mini Mac Haul...

Good evening ladies, I hope you all had a fab weekend!

Me & the other half took a rare day off work today & I dragged him to Bluewater to do a spot of Christmas shopping!

No shopping trip is complete without a little visit to Mac, with it being so close to Christmas I couldn't justify buying lots so I just got couple of bits. Here is what I picked up...
Mac blush in 'Desert Rose' & Mac Cremesheen lipstick in 'Creme Cup'
L-R: Mac Desert Rose Blush & Mac Creme Cup Lipstick
I've had my eye on Cremecup for ages, I'm really glad I finally have it in my collection =]

Whilst at Bluewater we decided to try the Cadbury Cocoa House for a spot of lunch, whilst in there I took a few photo's for my lovely blogerinos!
The inside is lovely & cosy and I was amazed by the vase's full of chocolate!

I chose the chocolate fudge cake...
Tony had the scones with jam & clotted cream...
I have to be honest & say that the food wasn't that great.

My caramel latte was cold when I got it & it had to be replaced and the chocolate fudge cake was very dry. Me & Tony both thought it would be alot more chocolate orientated but it was just like any other coffee shop in my opinion. I'm glad I've been but I don't think I would choose to go there again.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I'm nearly finished, yay!

Review: Eylure Dylash - Home Eyebrow Tinting...

Hello lovelies, I hope you're all ok & looking forward to the weekend =]

After posting a recent haul many of you asked for a review of Eylure Dylash, so here it is!
I originally bought the shade 'dark brown' but I didn't think my eyebrows came out dark enough. Dizzybrunette3 recommended purchasing the 'black' kit and mixing the two together, this is what I've done & I'm alot happier with the results.

Here is what you get in the kit...
Eylure Activating Solution
Eylure Dye
Mixing Tool
Application Tool

You get everything you need other than cotton wool & Vaseline (personal preference.)

How to dye your eyebrows:

♥ Carry out a sensitivity test 48 hours before dying your brows, I know this is boring but it really is a must! Mix 1cm of the dye & 3 drops of the solution together and put it behind your ear. If everything is ok & you have no reaction follow the next steps!

♥ Ensure your eyebrows are clean from all product & comb them through with an eyebrow brush.

♥ Prepare the dye by mixing 2cm of dye & 5 drops of solution. If you're mixing two dye's together them use 1cm of each dye.

♥ Mix the solution together with the mixing tool until you get a paste like the picture below.
Apply to the brows using either the applicator provided or a cotton bud.
My eyebrows before

♥ Leave for 1-2 minutes, it's better to leave it for less time than too long, you can re-do the dye if it doesn't come out dark enough but if they come out too dark you're stuck with it!
During application

♥ Wipe off the dye using either dry cotton wool or cotton wool with vaseline.
My eyebrows after

♥ You should be left with lovely dark eyebrows! =]

This is how my eyebrows looked after using the dye. If I want a more dramatic look I would finish them off with eyebrow powder & gel to set. The results should last for upto 6 weeks, I re-do mine every 3-4 weeks.

Overall I think this is a really good kit. The price of one kit that can last upto 12 applications costs less than a one off eyebrow tint in a salon. The only downside for me would be having to buy two kits but then they should last twice as long as one!

Eylure Dylash is available at Boots & Superdrug priced at £7.29.

Are you a DIY girl or do you prefer visiting a salon?
