NOTD | Nail Pop 'Juice'

Hello my lovelies <3

I haven't posted a NOTD in forever & thought it was about time I started doing them again!

Today I wanted to show you a polish I've been obsessing over since purchasing it a couple of weeks ago....
Nail Pop - Juice Shade 17.

Nail Pop is a fairly new polish on the market & is part of the Look Beauty cosmetic range. There are 30 shades to choose from & I chose this one to because it screamed Summer at me from across the shop!
This is the only polish I currently own from this range & I was a little sceptical picking it up as I haven't seen too much about this brand on the blogsphere.

The polish applied lovely & it was completely opaque after 2 coats. The brush was a little small as I'm used to using a wider brush for applying polish but it certainly wash't the worst nail polish brush I've ever used.

I really like this shade, it's a perfect coral that will look great when the weather finaly decided to warm up!

Overall I'm really impressed with this nail polish & I'll certainly be picking up some other shades from the range after payday.

Nail Pop by Look Beauty is available from most Superdrug stores priced at £3.00.

I'd love to know if you've tried this brand & if you would recommend anything from it.

Review: Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tan For Face & Decollete...

Good evening my love lovelies, I hope you're all having a fab weekend!

Today I thought I'd talk about a product that I've been LOVING for the past couple of months. I first heard about this product when Anna mentioned it & I'm so glad I took the plunge and purchased it.

Let me introduce...
Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tan for Face & Decollete.
Clarins says:
'Another award winning self tanner from Clarins, this product really is liquid bronze in a bottle. Perfect for special events or when you want a healthy glow quickly. As refreshing as water and as gentle as a milk, this vitamin-packed tanner delivers colour effortlessly to face and decollete with natural-looking results, while keeping your skin soft and looking healthy. Easy-to-apply, quick drying and streak-free.'
What I think:
As mentioned above I absolutely love this product and haven't stopped using it in the 2 months I've owned it. I've always struggled with tan on my face, no matter what brand of fake tan I use it never looks quite right on my face. This fake tan adds a natural glow and has never broken me out, something fake tan has done in the past.
I apply this tan every other night, I use a small amount on a cotton pad and sweep it across my face after applying moisturiser.

When Anna mentioned this product I was a little put off by the price but I've used this at least twice a week for the past 2 months & I'm not even a 3rd of the way through the bottle yet. I can see it lasting me quite a while!

Overall I cannot recommend this product enough. If you want to add a subtle tint & natural glow this product is right up your street. It could also be built up by using it consecutively for a darker shade if that's the look you're after. Don't let the price put you off, a little goes a long way & I can see this bottle lasting me at least 6 months.

Available from Clarins, Boots, John Lewis & House of Fraser priced at £17.50 per 125ml.

What is your face tanner of choice?

Holiday Snaps! Yalikavak - Turkey...

Good evening my lovelies, I hope you're all well & looking forward to the weekend!

I can't believe that this time last week I was in Turkey laying on the beach & sipping cocktails, it feels so long ago!

I thought I'd share some of my holiday snaps with you, I took over 200 photo's but I didn't want to bore you to death so I've selected a few of my favourites!

Here goes...
One of my favourite spots, laying in the shade reading a book when it got too hot to lay on the beach.
Hoe pretty if this?! I couldn't stop taking pictures of it!
My dinner one evening, served in a flaming terracotta pot. I love it how they present food out there.
I fell in love with the picture of the fish kissing, we're trying to find it online.
Me & the boyfriend.
Our dinner one evening, it was delicious!
My faux Mulberry, shh!

The original plan was to try & get an OOTD for every outfit I wore but to be honest I was too busy & taking pictures of each outfit went completely out of my mind.

The weather was perfect, it was between 38-40 during the day and it became too hot to lay on the beach during the day. I never thought I'd hear myself say that!

I had a pre conceived idea about Turkey & I cannot believe how wrong I was. The waiters were lovely, the area was spotlessly clean & I had the time of my life. We're already planning on going back next year!

Have you go any holidays planned this year?

Lifting The Lid: Glossybox June Edition...

Hello my lovelies, I'm baaaaack!

I had an amazing time in Turkey & have a post planned with lots of photos etc but I wanted to get this post up first =]

When I arrived home from Gatwick yesterday my Glossybox was sat on my bed waiting for me, I couldn't wait to rip the box open & see what I'd received!
As you can see we're back to the normal pale pink box & this month the box is themed around Summer.

Here is what I received...
As you can see I received site quite an away of different products. Here is a closer look at what I received:

Vichy Dermablend:
'Vichy's expert camouflage foundation stick for minor to severe skin flaws.'

I was really excited when I saw this, it's a really good size for a sample product and I can't wait to try it out.

Glossybox Pro Beauty Brush:
'This classic series natural goat hair blush brush gives a super soft make up application.'

I haven't used this brush yet so I should probably hold judgement but I don't think I'll be getting much use out of this brush. The brush feels really scratchy and the brush shedded when I removed it from the packaging. Not impressed!

Caudalie Eaux Fraiches:
'Refresh your senses with these invigorating and energising fragrances.'

I wasn't too impressed when I saw yet another perfume sample but this is actually a very good size for a perfume sample at 10ml. The fragrance isn't something I'd normally choose as it leans heavily towards the floral side but I'm sure I'll use it sometime!

MeMeMe Sensuous Nail Gloss:
'A 5ml high shine nail gloss in this season's key catwalk peach shade.'

I've never tried anything from the MeMeMe brand before and I'm a big fan of a nude/peach nail colour so I'm looking forward to giving this a go.

BM Beauty Summer Warmth Bronzer:
'Multi purpose pure mineral bronzer. Add a touch of summer warmth to your face.'

I'm not too sure about this product, it's far too shimmery to use as a bronzer and the size of the pot is far too small to dip a face brush into. The colour itself is lovely so I'll probably end up using this as an eyeshadow.

Overall this box was ok but it certainly wasn't one of my favourites. I like the Vichy Dermablend sample and look forward to trying the nail polish out but everything else is a little meh. I'm super jealous of anyone who received the Dermalogica sample set!

What did you think of your Glossybox this month?

Here Comes The Sun...

Hello my lovelies.

As some of you may know by the time you'll be reading this I'll be laying on a beach in Turkey...
I just wanted to let you know where I am & why I won't be posting for a little while.
I'll be back on the 12th & will hopefully have lots of OOTD's and pictures for you =]
Take care & I'll try to bring some sunshine back with me!

Pre Holiday Haul...

Hello beauts, it's finally the weekend!

I leave for Turkey at 3am tomorrow morning so over the past week or so I've picked a few holiday items, I haven't bought much but I thought I'd show you what I've picked up...

Here goes!
White Hat, Primark, £4.00

I've been after a beach hat for ages & when I saw this I fell in love with it, I can't wait to wear it on the beach!
Ted Baker Bag - Bicester Village Outlet - £24.00

I've loved these bags for ages but always thought £35.00 was a little steep for what is essentially a plastic bag but when me & the boyfriend visited Bicester Village last week it was £24.00 & my lovely boyfriend treated me to it. I can't wait to use this on the beach!
Mac Hue - Bicester Village Outlet - £9.50

I've been after Hue for ages but whenever I visit my local Mac counter it's always sold out so you can image my amazement when I managed to pick it up in Bicester Village for £9.50! The outlet store itself stocks Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Mac & Clarins amongst many other brands & I would certainly recommend going!
Nude Wedges - New Look - £15.00

New Look currently have 25% off all items in their holiday range, this includes bikinis, some shoes & clothes and other items. I picked these up for £15.00 down from £20.00 & thought they would be perfect for holiday as they will go with so many outfits I'm taking as I'm not taking ANY high heels, eek!
Black Peplum Top - Topshop - £24.00

I've seen so many people with this top so I'm hardly being very original but I LOVE wearing this top. It's really fitted so gives a lovely shape and the zip at the back is a lovely detail. I actually also own this in the ivory colour but it's currently in the wash for holiday, I would certainly recommend checking these out!
Striped Make Up Bag - Primark - £3.00

I was after a cheap make up bag to take on holiday and thought this was perfect. It's big enough to fit the majority of what I'll need & at the same time it's still uber cute!
Striped Make Up Bag - Primark - £2.00

I know buying 2 make up bags is a little excessive but I couldn't decide between the two and they were both super cheap so I thought why not. This actually reminds me of a similar Ted baker bag and almost matches my Ted Baker bag above. I'm using it to store my jewellery in when packing but i'm sure it'll get plenty of use when I'm back!
 False Lashes - Primark - £1.00

I've heard lots of good things about the Primark lashes so decided to pick up a couple of pairs. I haven't used these yet as I'm saving them for holiday but I'll be sure to report report back!
Gold Wing Earrings - River Island - £3.00

I mentioned these in my Wednesday Wislist and decided to pick them up as my last pre holiday treat. They look lovely and I'm sure I'll get plenty of use out of them both on holiday & back home.

So that's it, my pre holiday haul!

I'm all packed & super excited. I can't wait to get on that plane and spend a week on the beach!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things... May '12

Good evening my beauts, I hope you're all well!

I know I'm a few days late to the party with my May favourites but I had such a busy Jubilee weekend I didn't have time to get the post up *slaps wrist.*

Here is what I was loving in the month of May '12...
1 - Nars Laguna | 2 - Origins A Perfect World | 3 - Bioderma Sensibo | 4 - Loreal Lumi Magique | 5 - Sure Maximum Protection | 6 - Loreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick | 7 - Clarins Liquid Bronze For Face & Decollete

Nars Laguna - With the warmer weather I've been adding a touch of bronzer to my make up & Laguna is perfect for giving a sun kissed glow.

Origins A Perfect World Moisturiser -  I got this when Origins were hosting their trade in day & I've used it every day since! It leaves my skin feeling lovely & it smells amazing. I'll certainly be purchasing this when I run out.

Bioderma Sensibo - I really don't need to say too much about this as it's all been said 1000 times! I love using this to remove my make up at night & to refresh my skin in the morning, I recently posted a full review of this so if you want to read more click here.

Loreal Lumi Magique - I was on the hunt for a new foundation that I could take away on holiday with me & I think I've found the one! This foundation provides medium coverage and leaves a beautiful dewy glow, i'll be posting a full review soon!

Sure Maximum Protection -  I've already talked about this product in great length here so I won't ramble on but this is my number one deodorant and it will certainly be coming away to Turkey with me! Click here to read my full review.

Loreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick 'Dating Coral' - This is my perfect summer lipstick, a gorgeous coral shade with a balmy sheer finish. This is so easy to apply you don't even need a mirror so it's perfect for on the go touch ups. I've since picked up a couple of more shades from the range but this is still my favourite.

Clarins Liquid Bronze For Face & Decollete - I picked this up after Anna raved about it in a YT video & I've loved it ever since. I use it every few days and it leaves my skin looking tanned and glowing. Once again I will be posting a full review on this soon so keeps your eyes peeled!

Other than that I've just been loving the sunshine, celebrating the Diamond Jubilee & flat hunting with my boyfriend for our first pad together!

What were your favourites from May '12?
